Trip to Ottawa, Ontario - February 2020

Everything you suggested was perfect. Thank you Sandrine, and thank you for following up with us as well. We appreciate it.

Air: The service and flights with Air North and Air Canada, was great. Air North’s service on board was great with coffee and a light meal, and super friendly folks. The flight was smooth and the luggage transfer went off without a hitch. Similarly, Air Canada service was just fine and the flights both going and coming home were great. The flight seating was great too. The connections were great: with a bit of extra time in Vancouver the first leg of the trip, we were able to jump on the Skytrain and go downtown for a few hours to walk around. Coming home, two hours in between flights made it so nothing was rushed and we had time to walk and get ready for the flight home.

Albert at Bay Suite in Ottawa: This was a spectacular suite. Full apartment size kitchen, two bathrooms, big bedroom, laundry room, very large living room and dining room area. Unreal. There was a nice restaurant downstairs as well and a 24 hour little grocery store, attached to the hotel. The staff was supper friendly and the hotel was located within walking distance to the parliament buildings, war museum. We even walked to Gatineau to go to the Canadian Museum of History. Winterlude was on so the city was alive with ice sculptures and lights. It was really pretty and slower paced than Vancouver, and definitely, Toronto. Never having been to Ottawa before, it reminded me of Victoria, B.C.
I would go there again. It is a super location, clean, very quiet.

Staybridge Suites Hotel in Toronto: This too was a beautiful large suite with good beds in a separate bedroom, and a full-size kitchen. The daily breakfast was something else — it was a smorgasbord with hot breakfast items like waffles, sausage/bacon, eggs, omelets, and a huge assortment of breads for toast, four different types of coffees, assortment of teas, fresh fruits, dairy products, juices… really more than a person would ever need. On Monday to Wednesday evenings, they also offer free dinner meals. They are a set meal like pizza sliders, macaroni and cheese, nachos. Lots of folks seemed to attend. The hotel had a little store within it, called the Pantry and they had a good selection of things to snack on. They also carried items that you might need like soap etc. There were complimentary washers and dryers available to the guests. The pool was nice as well. It was a little cool, but very clean, and once you are in :-) all was great. I saw fitness equipment available too. Very high end equipment made available to the guests, complimentary.

I want to thank you again for helping us. It was a great trip, and I would love to go to Ottawa again when the leaves and flowers are out :-)
